Fire Station In Massachusetts Gets Unexpected “Visitors” – A Dog And 3 Goats

The New Bedford Fire Department in Massachusetts got unexpected visitors on October 30 – a dog and three goats wandering loose near one of their fire stations.

“Shortly after 4:00 this afternoon, members of Engine 5 observed a mother goat and two baby goats walking on Acushnet Avenue,” The Fire Department shared on Facebook on October 30. “They were accompanied by a dog, possibly a St. Bernard.”

The “visitors” reportedly did not have any human companions and the firefighters got concerned for the animals’ safety.

The Fire Department recounts, “With assistance from a neighbor walking his own dog, placed a leash on the mother given to them by the neighbor, and walked the goat inside Station 5.”

They added that after the mother goat was walked inside the fire station, her two baby goats followed her into safety.

Furthermore, the neighbor was able to successfully secure the dog who was accompanying the goats.

When the animals were placed into safety, the firefighters at the New Bedford Fire Department called Animal Control for assistance.

“The goats were placed in a fenced in area behind the fire station until they were returned to their home, which is located a short distance from Station 5,” the Fire Department revealed.

“Great work members of Engine 5 and the gentleman who assisted, you’re the G.O.A.T!”

Some users couldn’t help but be amused by the incident. One Facebook user wrote, “What a funny and wonderful story to read first thing in the morning. Great work firefighters at Station 5!”

“Goats were just trying to get in on that trick or treating a day early so they get the good stuff 🤣 but seriously I’m glad they’re safe and returned home well done,” another wrote.

And while the three goats were returned to their owner, people were still wondering if the dog that accompanied them was returned to its owner as well.

This is because the Fire Department didn’t share any update on its safe return to its owner.

Hopefully, the goats’ furry friend got home safely after their little rendezvous in town together!

Dog Climbed The Great Pyramid Of Giza To Bark At Birds, Gets Spotted On A Paraglider’s Camera

If you’re ever wondering how far dogs will go to (literally and figuratively) to bark at birds, then you have your answer right here.

On Monday, October 14, a white dog was spotted by a paraglider atop The Great Pyramid Of Giza, the tallest man-made structure for around 4,000 years and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, to bark at birds.

In the jaw-dropping footage, the paraglider, Marshall Mosher, is seen soaring high in the desert sky over the largest Egyptian pyramid, when he zoomed in on the top of the pyramid to find a dog just casually roaming its apex.

“A dog climbed all the way up the Great Pyramid of Giza!” Mosher wrote in the caption of the video, uploaded on Instagram.

The footage has since gone viral and garnered almost 800,000 likes on Instagram.

Many on the platform have joked about the bizarre situation. One user wrote, “If he pees there all Egypt belongs him.”

While another user said the dog is the Egyptian god, Anubis. “Not a dog. That is the egiptian God Anubis. He is considered the guide of the dead in the afterlife and the protector of the tombs. That’s why it is over the piramid.”

However, some can’t help but show concern about the dog’s well-being and if it was able to safely climb back down.

Thankfully, Mosher did a few more follow up videos on his encounter with the dog, to ensure users that the dog is safe.

In the first follow-up video, Marshal showed a footage of him with pyramid dogs, who apparently live in the area, and of him paragliding again, and going back to the apex of the pyramid.

Unfortunately, the dog on top of the pyramid was no longer there. “I have no idea how he climbed that… so crazy,” Mosher said.

This caused more concern from users. So, Mosher uploaded a second follow-up video of him paragliding again above the pyramids showing the pooch casually climbing back down the pyramid.

“During the annual @skyone.egy paramotor event over the pyramids, we spotted a dog who had climbed all the way to the top of the Great Pyramid of Khafre!” Mosher wrote in the caption of his video.

“After going back up to look for it, we got another siting of it running back down. He apparently lives up there :)”

And in the final follow-up video, Mosher shows a clip of the dog climbing down the pyramid again, but this time, almost reaching its base.

“Just as these ancient monuments have stood the test of time, built stone by stone through sheer will, grit, and vision, we too can create lasting legacies when we pursue our dreams relentlessly,” Mosher wrote.

“Whether that dream is to fly over the pyramids or a dog’s dream to have the most epic view in all of Egypt!”

‘Colorful Chaos Contained’: Dog Poops ‘Rainbow’ After Mistakenly Eating Orbeez

A dog learned the hard way that Orbeez beads are NOT tasty treats after its owners had to bring him to the emergency vet and poop ‘rainbows’.

The video of the dog pooping ‘rainbows’, posted by user @larenmciaren, has since gone viral on TikTok, garnering over 70 million views and 6 million likes.

“Just another day in the ER,” @larenmciaren’s caption read. She also reassured everyone that the video was taken and uploaded with permission from the owner.

According to the original uploader, a veterinary technician, the dog was rushed to Animal Urgent Care (AUC) in Arvada, Colorado.

AUC also shared the clip on their Facebook page saying, “As Orion has quickly learned, Orbeez are NOT the kind of rainbow that a dog should taste!”

Orbeez are known to expand when they are hydrated, so they expanded while they were in Orion’s Gi tract.

The dog was then rushed to the emergency vet where an x-ray confirmed he “had consumed a large quantity”.

According to AUC, the Orbeez that Orion was pooping in the video was only about 25% of the total quantity he ate. And the rest had to be surgically removed.

“He ate a LOT. A whole dry bag of Orbeez. And they literally hydrated in his GI tract. The next poop there was more ‘material’”

TikTok user larenmciaren also reassured viewers that Orion is now on the road to recovery after his surgery.

She wrote in a TikTok comment, “Accidents happen and dogs are quick y’all! He needed surgery to remove the rest, but he’s on the road to recovery.”

Some users who saw the video also took note at how skinny the dog looked. But TikTok user larenmciaren and AUC both clarified that Orion was recently adopted and has amazing new dog parents.

AUC wrote in a comment, “It’s worth noting that Orion was recently adopted and has AMAZING new owners. He is a lucky boy and we know he is in the best hands.”

Orbeez are very dangerous, not only to children but also, to dogs.

As a matter of fact, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission revealed that these water beads have caused nearly 7,000 emergency room visits across the country from 2018 to 2022.

In pets, Orbeez can cause intestinal blockages. And prolonged exposure and repeated ingestion can lead to other serious health problems such as pancreatitis, liver damage, and even seizures.
