Fire Station In Massachusetts Gets Unexpected “Visitors” – A Dog And 3 Goats

The New Bedford Fire Department in Massachusetts got unexpected visitors on October 30 – a dog and three goats wandering loose near one of their fire stations.

“Shortly after 4:00 this afternoon, members of Engine 5 observed a mother goat and two baby goats walking on Acushnet Avenue,” The Fire Department shared on Facebook on October 30. “They were accompanied by a dog, possibly a St. Bernard.”

The “visitors” reportedly did not have any human companions and the firefighters got concerned for the animals’ safety.

The Fire Department recounts, “With assistance from a neighbor walking his own dog, placed a leash on the mother given to them by the neighbor, and walked the goat inside Station 5.”

They added that after the mother goat was walked inside the fire station, her two baby goats followed her into safety.

Furthermore, the neighbor was able to successfully secure the dog who was accompanying the goats.

When the animals were placed into safety, the firefighters at the New Bedford Fire Department called Animal Control for assistance.

“The goats were placed in a fenced in area behind the fire station until they were returned to their home, which is located a short distance from Station 5,” the Fire Department revealed.

“Great work members of Engine 5 and the gentleman who assisted, you’re the G.O.A.T!”

Some users couldn’t help but be amused by the incident. One Facebook user wrote, “What a funny and wonderful story to read first thing in the morning. Great work firefighters at Station 5!”

“Goats were just trying to get in on that trick or treating a day early so they get the good stuff 🤣 but seriously I’m glad they’re safe and returned home well done,” another wrote.

And while the three goats were returned to their owner, people were still wondering if the dog that accompanied them was returned to its owner as well.

This is because the Fire Department didn’t share any update on its safe return to its owner.

Hopefully, the goats’ furry friend got home safely after their little rendezvous in town together!

Police Dog Steals Co-worker’s Lunch But Doesn’t Face Any Charges Because He’s Too Cute

We guess criminals also come in all shapes and sizes – apparently, some have cute faces and wagging tails!

And K9 Ice of the Wyandotte Police Department (WPD) in Michigan is certainly one of the few out there with a cute face and a wagging tail who go out of their way to commit a crime, inside the workplace, nonetheless!

“Stealing is not only a crime but it is morally wrong too. Some jobs, like that of being a police officer, require you to take an oath prior to starting. Within the officer’s sworn oath is the promise to protect person’s property,” the Wyandotte Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

The Wyandotte Police Department proceeds to explain that one of their officer, Officer Barwig, was eating lunch in the breakroom when he was called to assist someone in the WPD jail.

“He quickly jumped into service, leaving his half eaten lunch on the table,” WPD recounts the story.

“A short while later Barwig and another officer returned to the breakroom only to find Ofc. Ice leisurely strolling out of the room licking his chops. Barwig’s entire lunch was gone….disappeared, vanished!”

WPD reveals that K9 Ice invoked his fifth amendment right to remain silent, but is quite frankly not cooperating with the Police Department’s investigation.

Furthermore, WPD reveals that K9 Ice isn’t very much a good boy, especially when food is involved. They wrote, “He has a history of rummaging through trash cans that are within his reach. There have been several other accusations of him taking food right from coworker’s hands as they walk by.”

The incident happened on January 2023 but it is once again going viral after online users found the criminal, K9 Ice’s, crime and mugshot a little too adorable. Talk about pretty privilege, huh?

The public rallied behind K9 Ice and truly believed him to be innocent. One user wrote, “There is no evidence! Last I heard, “licking chops” is not a crime!” Another user said, “Innocent! Lunch was not clearly marked with officers name or badge #.”

While another user wrote “I just want to say that he is also guilty of stealing my heart. He is one smooth operator. Look at that face, good luck getting a conviction! You guys are out to lunch.”

In an update on K9 Ice’s case, WPD revealed that “dozens of attorneys” have offered to defend the police dog Pro Bono for his crime.

“We have been threatened with massive protests if we move forward with our investigation and/or charges,” the Police Department wrote.

WPD also reveals that the public just doesn’t believe K9 Ice to be guilty and that no video of him stealing any of his co-workers food has been produced.

“That being said Ofc Ice will not face any internal discipline or criminal charges,” the Police Department concluded.

Aside from the charges being dropped, K9 also received a custom-made sandwich from one of his local supporters “because they felt like he wasn’t being fed enough.”

After the charges were dropped and the case was closed, the public still demanded updates about the “innocent” police officer.

One user wrote, “I vote for regular updates from Ofc Ice! The public needs to be aware of the shenanigans he has to deal with, like being falsely accused!”

‘Tiny Dognapper’: Little Girl ‘Steals’ Neighbor’s Husky And Replaces It With A Stuffed Toy

Well, can you still consider it stealing if your victim willingly goes with you?

That might be a dog owner’s conundrum when she found out that her seven-year-old neighbor “stole” her Husky and replaced it with a stuffed dog toy.

Amanda Sullivan of Glouchester, Massachusetts caught her neighbor, Olivia Myers, in the act of stealing her dog and shared the clip on TikTok that has now gone viral.

In the video, Olivia approaches Sullivan’s 11-year-old Husky, named Gunnar, who was minding his own business.

@corporalgunnar

She stole my dog in broad day light!!! Can you believe that?! When your 7 year old neighbor just wants a play date with her dog bestie… she steals him and leaves behind a replacement. Shoutout to @Tactipup with the always awesome collars and the @Wyze cam OG for capturing this theft! 🤦‍♀️🤣 #stolendog #tiktok #dogs #funny #funnyvideos

The little girl proceeds to swap Gunnar’s collar – from a “Mama’s Boy” collar to an “Olivia’s Boy” collar. And then leaving behind a stuffed Husky toy beside Gunnar before asking the pooch to come with her.

“Gunnar was so conflicted whether he should actually go with her or wait for me to come outside like I always do,” Sullivan wrote in the caption.

After hesitating and barking a few times, Gunnar caved in and went with Olivia.

Sullivan later “confronted” the little girl who she found playing with Gunnar. She asks Olivia, “did you steal my dog? did you change his collar?” earning a mischievous look from the little girl.

She explains, “When I got an alert from my backyard camera and saw what she was doing, I thought I’d let her play it out. I was laughing inside the house, which I think Gunnar heard, which explains why he was so hesitant to go with her.”

“I can’t say that you can call it ‘stealing’ when he goes willingly,” laughs Sullivan.

It turns out that the two are actually best friends! Sullivan reveals to New York Post that Gunnar and Olivia have been inseparable since they met two years ago.

She even says that there has been an ongoing “beef” between the neighbors on who Gunnar belongs to.

But talking to TODAY and describing Gunnar and Olivia as “two peas in a pod”, Sullivan seems to have accepted that there’s just a special and undeniable bond between the two.

“At this point, I’ve accepted that we have shared custody of Gunnar,” says Sullivan.
