Louis Vuitton New Dog Collection Includes $60K Kennel, Dog Poo Bag Holder, Leather Dog Bowl, And Many More!

From having their own fragrance to their own footwear, the rise of luxury products for dogs is undeniable.

And this month, Louis Vuitton is joining in with the launch of their Men’s Spring-Summer 2025 Pre-Collection.

The collection is said to be a “sartorial ode to the canine community” by Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams.

In an Instagram post, Louis Vuitton writes, “Pharrell introduces a new collection dedicated to the cosmopolitan culture of dogs and their walkers — interweaving Louis Vuitton’s icons with an anthropomorphic audacity.”

Among the collection’s most notable piece is the $60,000 dog house called the “Kennel Trunk”.

According to Louis Vuitton’s website, the Kennel Trunk is “the ultimate luxury item for man’s best friend”. It creates the illusions of a traditional house, with a roof and its own windows.

And while the product is all about luxury and sophistication, the brand ensures that the Kennel Trunk is still very much functional.

“The door is removable, and the bottom of the trunk can be opened for easy cleaning,” its description read on the Louis Vuitton website.

Aside from this, the metallic name card holder on the house can be customized in store.

Other dog accessories that are part of Pharell’s newest collection include a $470 dog poop bag holder, a $2,330 flask holder, and a $2,160 dog bowl.

Along with the collection, Pharell also launched a pop-up called “Dog LVERS” which “showcases and celebrates the Spring/Summer 2025 pre-collection by inviting fashion enthusiasts and dog lovers alike to explore a masterfully curated selection of Louis Vuitton’s latest casual and formal menswear alongside an exclusive line of accessories for man’s best friend; dogs, all in a pet-friendly atmosphere.”

The pop-up also boasts cozy areas for both two-legged and four-legged visitors to relax in!

Dog Miraculously Survives Home Explosion, Gets Rescued From Rubble Six Days After

A family’s five-year-old dog miraculously survives home explosion in Haymarket, Virginia and gets rescued six days after the incident on Monday, October 21.

On October 15, the Prince William Professional Firefighters shared that they responded to a house explosion in Haymarket.

“Earlier in the afternoon, Engine 504 was called to an outside gas leak when an underground gas line was struck,” Prince William Professional Firefighters wrote.

According to them, their crew witnessed the residence “instantly disintegrating and the rubble pile catching fire” while they were trying to evacuate nearby homes and waiting for the gas company.

“Crews transmitted a working fire and went to work extinguishing the adjacent homes which also caught fire during the blast,” fire officials said.

Furthermore, the fire was reported to have escalated to a second alarm before the flames were completely distinguished.

InsideNoVa disclosed that the fire was started due to a contractor replacing a water line and cutting into the natural gas line.

“Natural gas is lighter than air and will travel through any possible avenue,” Prince William fire and rescue Assistant Chief Matt Smolsky explained. “At some point the gas reached an ignition source and the explosion occurred. There are multiple possible ignition sources that could have contributed to the event.”

DC News Now reveals that the home explosion displaced two families, which includes four adults and two children.

While grief still surrounds the affected families, a miracle happens to one of them – Megan Schnapp and her partner Joshua Jeffries’ dog survives the explosion and gets rescued six days after the incident.

Brandy, the family’s five-year-old rescue dog, was reportedly secured in a room upstairs when the home exploded.

Schnapp tells InsideNoVa, “There was a lot of grieving.”

However, Fauquier Now reveals that on the morning of October 21, an insurance investigator, along with Schnapp, were at the remains of the house, when they heard a dog barking under all the rubble.

The insurance investigator asked Schnapp if she has a dog, but said that her dog passed away.

However, the grieving owner later realized that the barking dog was indeed Brandy.

The Prince William Professional Firefighters shared their rescue of Brandy on Facebook saying, “This morning, crews from the 1st Battalion were called to the home that exploded several days ago in Haymarket for a dog barking from inside the rubble.”

“Truck4 worked diligently to free the pup from collapsed home, reuniting her with her family. After an incredible story of survival, the dog is expected to make a full recovery from incident.”

After getting rescued, Schnapp tells Fauquier Now that their pooch had minimal cuts and burns, but appears to be generally OK.

Schnapp and Jeffries thanked the community for the support they’ve been giving their family during this difficult time.

Schnapp said, “We are so thankful for Piedmont, Haymarket and beyond for everyone’s support. I’m so thankful no one was injured.”

“And now our family is complete again,” she added.

Carmichael Woman Arrested After Cutting Dog’s Throat And Dumping It In Garbage Bin

A woman in Carmichael, California was arrested and later released after she cut her dog’s throat and threw it in the trash on Wednesday, October 16.

CBS News reports that the dog owner, identified as 41-year-old Danielle Danielle Killian, lived alone in an apartment complex on Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael with two dogs and a cat, and was the sole care provider for the animals.

In a news release by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, they revealed that Killian told deputies that she felt her life would be easier if she only had one dog, and then decided to cut one dog’s throat and dump it in the trash.

Deputies responded to Killian’s apartment complex on the night of October 16, after they received a report saying that a dog was found in the trash can, with something tied around its neck.

Furthermore, the caller reveals that the dog had a cut around its throat, but was still alive.

Killian was immediately detained at her apartment while Animal Control “took the injured dog for medical treatment and took custody of the other dog,” the Sheriff’s Office revealed.

While the injured dog was fortunately still alive, the Sheriff’s Office revealed that Killian placed the dog in a shopping bag and “disposed of it in the garbage bin” at her apartment complex on October 15.

“Detectives then executed a search warrant of her apartment, leading to the discovery of the knife presumably used in this incident,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote.

“Killian was arrested and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail. She was granted release on her own recognizance by the courts and has since been released from custody.”

While both of Killian’s dogs are in safe hands, the Sheriff’s Office reveals that the detectives were unable to locate her cat.

They also feared that other animals she may have in the past may have suffered abused, “as she told Detectives she moved around regularly, as often as once a year.”

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office urged anyone who has information of the incident or of Killian to contact them.
